Yamaha didn’t offer a 2020 model as there are a bunch of holdovers. I doubt they are done with it.

Only place they offered the MTX in 2020 was Europe, hopefully they come back updated in 2021.

Not enough people are willing to buy a new Yamaha...so they are not building it any longer.
The underlying problem is that most people can't afford to also buy the semi truck needed to haul it.

Like I said before, If Yamaha ever wanted to get back into a home grown two stroke 850 twin mountain chassis market they would sell 1000's of them. The newest two stroke sleds today in stock form can get most people into enough trouble as it it. Maybe they still do well with the trail market in different parts of the country. But having to merge with a competitor to keep interest with the consumer and not having some current models availible for display because of high inventories and low sales just shows that they are heading in the wrong direction. They just need to build a sled that people want and they will come...

Really do not think they are done build sleds, they have been in the market way to long to back out now. Got to remember that peeps dont by a sleds every year like they use to, guys keep there sleds two three and four years now.I sure they are clearing out some old model sleds and we will see something updated from them next year. "Right"

Not saying they're done... people are just not stampeding over to the Yamaha dealership to see the latest of what they have to offer in the mountain segment. Last spring one local dealer was trying to unload two and three year old non current sleds for less than 10000.00. And they where still sitting there. Including interest paid out on these sleds over 24-36 months on the the oldest inventory that they had, they are loosing money on each sled. They can barely give them away.

I believe what there doing is clearing out previously years inventory if you look right now you still have to pay $13000+ for a 2017 sidewinder I would be surprised if the snow check only model doesn’t go into effect for all brands machines hold value as you don’t have to blow out hold overs

Would dealers get a tax credit if they were to donate these sleds for charity auctions?

Might be a better way than paying interest on **** you’re gonna lose money on anyways.

I've been busy riding and maintaining my 3 sleds . I still have two more years warranty on my t3 so no hurry i feel the sidewinder price is going to drop a lot more in the next year or so . Best price I've seen is 12k for a new 2018 .

Like you, I find buying a sled too risky. I made that mistake once, and am happy to pay new prices from now on.
