07 Yamaha phazer hand warmer trouble shoot?

Hey I'm looking for advice on trouble shooting hand warmers on a 07 Yamaha phazer since the sled was purchased the hand warmers never worked no indicators on the screen or codes are coming up and the Thumb warmer works really well I read on the Internet 08 had issues but not much on 07 anyone no were I should start?

If you have or can borrow a multimeter you can start by unplugging the connections at the bars. Measure the resistance of each element in the hand warms low setting and high setting. I am not sure on the specific specs for the phazer but you should see something in the range 40-70 ohms. If you test and find consist resistance on both grips you will need to test the power side for voltage.

http://cannondalecentral.com/documents/2007_Phazer_MANUAL.pdf. I found a PDF manual. I was wrong about the resistance page 336 is the grip warming circuit with troubleshooting instructions section 8-42 in the manual.

Just a shot in the dark, but are the bars stock? Some dirt bike bars are knerled and can poke into the elements and cause all kinds of grief. They can still be used just grind or tape them.
