    Replacing a Subframe on Nytro

I've had a bent subframe on my Nytro for a few years now. This has been causing some issues with wear on front end parts. The holes are all oblong as well for my steering components. I've decided to replace it.

Once taken off the front suspension it's not too difficult. 12 Screws to the frame and it's off. Found a couple of small broken or worn parts as well. So far I have spent about 2 Hrs taking apart and cleaning all the parts. I am able to do with the intercooler still installed.

Right it is time consuming. Also you find other things that require maintenance. I just have to align my steering and install the computer and then that's done. Installing a new oil tank and then time to put it all back together.

I have to do mine as well. No issues in handling but its in the back of your mind. Must be from leading the pack all the time and hitting the drifts first.....seems to be a common issue with boosted turb nytro guys......

great post. how much was the sub frame

It's not just the boosted Nytro GUYS that have that issue. Mine was a bone stock 2008 Nytro when Skinz re did my sled this summer my sub frame was bent and twisted too. At the SSA show we talked to some guys that keep extra sub frames in their trailers and their group can change them out in 2 hours flat!!

I did mine. Not to bad, sure wouldn't want to change one in a trailer.
