Bought a 04 rx1 and it is very hard to start. Drained the tank and has all fresh gas , have had it running and it is wicked fast runs awesome, but when it sits for a week it takes forever to start even in a heated shop. Is this normal?

My 03 rx1 and my buddys 07 venture do the same thing. Not really sure what the problem is but it hasn't caused me any greif so far other than turning over for a bit longer. If anything I would say to clean the carbs. and check the fuel line for leaks. Sounds like maybe the gas is draining back into the tank.

I have an 03 rx1 with tr Same problem almos everytime I take it to the mountain I have to pull a plug and drop gas in the cylinder to get it to fire then it's fine no problems on the mountain starting after that. It's almost like the fuel lines freeze on the trip or some reason it doesn't get fuel and no pull start sucks as well. But the r fun sleds

dose your machine have the coolant shut off valve for the carb heaters. it was a change they made afterward. they would run so hot it would evap the fuel out of the carbs after a good ride.

I put fuel shutoff valves on fuel lines for long hauls and starting problems stopped
