SEASONS GREETINGS

YAY!! My internet conection works today. Living in a valley sure is pretty, but radio waves don't like to visit :dunno:.

Just dropping a note to let everyone know about our Boxing Day Poker Rally.

We have enough snow to get a base groomed. We are intending to keep the checkpoints close in to High Level, but there is more snow up on the 'mountain' and everyone is welcome to ride all the trails. Although grooming won't be 100% the scenery is worth it IMO.

Start in High Level at Northern Services Shop (11:00), Run out West to the Meadows Frolic Area where there will be a checkpoint or two. Frolic and return, or continue on. Fires will be going at the Meadows and the cabin the top of Watt Mountain.

ASA TrailPasses are required. WMW Membership (new this year) optional.

Sorry Don't have the cost info with me today.

WMW has a -25 degree @ Start NO GO policy although that doesn't look like an issue this year.

Well, considering we have not been able to hold this event for a couple of seasons due to extreme cold, it was nice to see - 13 on the thermometer at sunrise.

We had the trail set from High Level out to Hutch Lake with checkpoints at the meadows rib pit and at our presidents cabin at the lake (Thank you Doug & Mary). Although we don't have a lot of snow there was enough to keep the sliders lubed and it was a good ride. One access to the mountain was groomed and the West trail was useable as well for side rides.

We had an encouraging turnout with a selection of riders from families to 'the guys'. Great to see!!!

Thanks to all participants. Hope to see you on the trails.

Thanks to the volunteers. Lots of work so few people.

Next Meeting Jan 13, 2010
