I noticed you were doing some repair on the hood? What do you use to repair those old plastic hoods so they look new again and don't recrack?

The hood on the 1972 TNT 400 F/A is made of fibre glass I remove the gel coat and put a new layer of fibre glass to get rid of the spider cracks sand down the glass than add body filler sand down again till ready for paint the rupp sleds hood is plastic if I need to repair I take it to a bumper repair witch welds plastic than off to the body shop for paint. The side panels on the rupp are fibre glass which is not difficult to repair . Factory side panels were all plastic on the rupp after market are fibre glass the sled had fibre glass when I purchased it.

Yes thought maybe it was plastic. I have a 1980 Mirage Special I want to restore but has a 3" crack in the hood and its plastic. I may get back to you when getting the hood fixed to see who you use. Thanks Darrell!
