Been pretty dead here so figured I’d add some content.

I just picked this one up. It’s a nice 91 650 mod. It has a 2” 141 conversion and triple Decker pipes
I remember riding with Guys back when these were new they ran 156 tracks with 2 inch plastic paddles. They worked damn good. It was real tough trying to keep up on a 89 500 SKS lol. U kept up or U were left behind. Made u a better rider. FAST !!!!!!

Had to have this one when it came up.

I finally figured out how to post videos so added one of its first ride and one of the Cat below in my other post.

Gotta love the sound of a triple piped polaris !!

Nice sleds, always had a soft spot for the Old Iron Wedges, the first sled i bought on my own was a 1996 Ultra(god damn submarine...LOL)..... its the one in my avatar after being repainted to do away with the purple and fuschia...LMFAO... the RMK in the 5th pic is the bomb, probably the sled that truly changed the sport in my opinion...:d

Thats a 98 RMK. The 97 was the one that raised the bar .. IMO. The 98 had about 10 hp less than the 97. Had to put on a Highmark head to get the horsepower back. I was riding a 95 800 triple Storm back then. Loved it!

I have heard alot of bad things about the Ultra sleds. I think after I am done my 650( complete engine rebuild) I would like to look for the last year Storm SKS. Built and do one up or try to find the last and supposedly best triple polaris put out
An 03 800 XCR and long track that thing ......I am just not a short track guy.

The chassis rocked, best of everything, it was just soooo freakin heavy, the power to weight ratio sucked balls... sled was so much better here in our back country powerline riding conditions when i swapped in a 503 rotax, along with the 1"lug, 136" extension... Also, it never had reverse....

We built a tight woods wedge last winter, out of a 1986 indy 500 trail, a 1991 indy 500efi, and a 1974 340 electra...LOL...

Used the frame, bulkhead, reversing chain-case from the 1986, the hood, bellypan, and trailing arms from the indy 500, and the 340 fanner(shaved the heads to raise compression and hp) from the electra.... 1" lug 121" track.....It will run circles around any tundra or free style, and winds up tight up hill till it will flip right over...LOL..

LOL... its built out of a pile of parts, but turned out cool.. made my own shorty seat for it, an * 30 degree riser, bar ends, and open running boards to do away with the snow collecting wedge boards... maybe got $300. bux in the entire build... no vids yet, but if its alright i can post a pic in here of the sled before i cleaned up the hood, and before we installed the engine...

On a side note, I would LOVE to find a set of those custom trailing arms on the sleds in your pics, either new, or good used...
Are they still being manufactured by the company? I would nee them for xtra10 specs...:beer:... You have a super nice collection of wedges, I always loved them, so stable and predictable...:hail::hail:
