Hey guys looking at making my way to Valemount here soon and I was floating the idea of taking the motorhome and camping at the staging area. Seems like the best way to limit contact. Bring all my food etc. Does anyone have any experience in doing this? Or would I get into trouble for sleeping in what I would assume is a day parking at the staging area? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Good news. Talked to VARDA today. Long story short they don't encourage it, but its also not discouraged. They said it would be best to park out of the way and be mindful of other people requiring space to park by not putting out awnings, setting up firepits, etc. Its not a problem unless people make it a problem. None of this is an issue for me as I just plan on sleeping and sledding.

Sorry for the delay in replying. This is a tough one and honestly I am not sure on the legality. It's probably a "don't poke the bear scenario" the staging areas are government rec sites. As a club we certainly do not encourage it, but a parked unit is a parked unit, at the end of the day. If someone was to do this, its doing it smart and respectfully that is the key. Take up only the space of your vehicle, DONT have a huge camp spread. No fire pits, no garbage etc etc. Just be respectful and mindful humans.

Ride safe.
