Rode Clemina today. First people on the trail at 7:30 am, lit the fire in the cabin. Brr it felt a lot colder than -13 but at the 68% RH that chilled you pretty good. We hit seceret bowl, our tracks from last weekend had about 2” of fresh over them. We played in this area for a few hours. Had about a foot of snow with some serious hoar frost on the snow. Not many tracks in here yet. Snow is down quite a bit though. Then hit Bauer’s the snow is up to a foot in areas but limited. Need a reload for sure but was worth the trip. Just got home brrr very cold -20 in parkland county.

It may have felt cold Ron but least you got to ride on your birthday.
The hoar frost maybe interesting in the future to see what happens, great pics and hope for a re-load soon

Didn't you pick up a roll of haywire a few weeks back Mike? It's not funny... But the irony of the situation made me chuckle.

It's been a while since we have reached out to all of you and I felt it was due. It is certainly not a typical year and we have had to adjust our communication and marketing plan in order to be as neutral as possible to work within Covid boundaries and perceptions of the general public.

While we have been quiet, we have been working hard in the background to make sure that we are serving our community, our members, stakeholders and our riders in the best way possible. We have continued to groom and maintain some of the best trails in the province throughout all of this as we understand that our services are a large driver of our local economy as well as an economic driver of many of our supporters and stakeholders, not to mention a favorite winter activity of thousands of people just like us.

To date, our season has been a success. We have had no major operational hiccups and are working with our local stakeholders and industrial operations to make sure that we continue to have a successful and smooth season.

Infrastructure and trail wise, the new Clemina access route is working well for our needs. We are working towards a better solution for the long term, but are grateful for the agreements we were able to make during the summer to insure access to the Clemina Creek area was possible. Dismantling of the old Allan Creek shelter has begun and its encouraging to see that this historic structure will be reassembled and put to use again in some way.

If you need anything from us here at the office, please do not hesitate to reach out. We love hearing from our members and like us, everyone has been pretty quiet this year.

We simply cannot wait until we get to throw out hugs and high fives again while meeting with our friends and colleagues at the next Mountain Mania. We are all going through this strange time together and while we are all working through it in our own way, I am sure that all of us are looking straight ahead at the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ride Safe
Curtis
