Our group just ordered 7 from ray I have had them for the last 4 yrs they work great also if you need to access some logging roads for remote access they have that ability as well. Another thing is when hwy closed pull out radio get all latest updates from the truckers

How do you work that? For me it only reports location if you make communication. Or you pole your buddy and it connects. No connection, no location! It’s Not live tracking. I had higher expectations.

I still carry and use the gps, but rarely use the location positioning feature!

As Jorg asked above... Any idea if the lower gate to Allan is open if someone wanted to venture up the old trail?

Sorry all, gate may be open some time LATE next week as long as the weather stays very cold. The road gets heavily damaged when people try to chew their way in there with trucks. Its still October. I see people are accessing Bell though.

Im glad I asked for November delivery on my turbo. It resists the temptation thats for sure not having a new shiny sled in the garage.

I definitely anxious to get after it tho.

The lower gate is open now. Trail has full coverage but is very thin. Alpine snow levels are a thin 50cms and its mashed potatoes. You can see an update vid on our facebook or instagram and our MIN post over on Avalanche.ca

Nice to see an early start to winter, but hope it picks up and cools off!

And remember.....its still October and not a lot of sled parts available...
