Me and three buddies are going to be heading to valemount riding for the first time from the 17th to the 20th (next weekend!).
I was hoping to get some good tips on where best to go right now (Group is intermediate at best) and what to expect.

Also putting out some feelers if anyone local would wanna come ride with some good guys any of the days we are there and show us what all the hype is really about!

Thanks for the help in advance!

Clemina is a good start. Nice big area and is good for beginner to intermediate skills.

One of the guys has been many times already this year. First trip of the year for the rest of us. Been a few times in the past.

Spend the money and call frozen pirate.
They will teach you something that will make you better and safer I guarantee.
Secondly, you just ride for the day. No worries about being lost or stranded etc. They will take you places based on your skills.
Best money you can spend imo.
Most cant afford it for every day but it's always a good thing for the first day.

thanks for the advise. I think we will probably go this route. Pretty affordable for the experience it sounds like it comes with.

I still think back to the day you showed us around Allan and how to get to premier ridge, spent a lot of days back there since. And I'm sure there's a bunch of similar stories to mine!
