The forecast is showing a week of clear skies ahead and there is nothing better than a blue sky day above 6000 feet. With an alpine snowpack of over three meters the riding conditions are at their finest. The combination of blue skies, smooth trails and epic terrain cannot be beat.
Even after family day weekend, there are reports and pics floating around of great riding conditions. Call your favourite riding crew, load up the machines and come visit our mountain paradise.

Still lots of opportunities out there, even after family day weekend and a week of sunny skies. Most riders have stuck to the front ranges and more common zones within the zones. One needs to venture off the common ground but wow the goods are still out there. Access is butter and will be maintained as needed.

Rode Westridge today. 10 riders total. Most of the Alpine has been wind and sun affected. About 6-10 inches on top of a firm layer. Some of the shady leeward slopes were holding better snow. Lots of sun. Here's a pic.

Sorry guys, I know it is a bit confusing as I do wear two hats and post a lot from the other account. Frozen Pirate Snow Services is a fully licensed avalanche instruction and guiding company in the area and we have been in operating for several years now. We run a crew of very highly trained guides and take safety extremely seriously out there, but are well known for providing good times! Feel free to shoot me an email with any questions.
If we cannot help you out due to scheduling, Alpine Country Rentals also has a licensed guiding operations as well.

Due to reports of Caribou in the area, we have put in place a volunteer club closure of the Norberts Nose area of Chappell Creek.
Staff at the trailhead will have a copy of the image below. Please respect this temporary closure as it shows that we can cooperatively manage the area in an effective manner.
Staff will re-evaluate the situation on Thursday and provide an update.
Thank you for your extremely valued cooperation.
