We are looking at checking out Foam this year. Any info or pics on the area would be greatly appreciated.

May as well get a thread started.

don't sound so excited...might get people fired up for what’s about to happen in three weeks and not sure there’s room for extra ‘wood’ in the truck cab heading to those deep days. A day in BR is like walking through the door and seeing Rebels Avatar...

Lol..... only ever rode Salmon in Blue; been in there a couple times, but not a huge fan of that spot, so I'd like to check out Foam and both Groundhog areas next. You know when it starts in at part of BC it gets DEEP fast.

I support BR year round, big fan of it 12 months a year, great place and there’s some real good people that live there and help make it happen. Spend some time there, you’ll get what I mean...

Gotta hook up with you and your crew this year for some more BR shredding. I had a great time on the last adventure.

I'd say Blue River is nearing max awareness. That groundhog parking get's filled up quick when conditions are good. The two hotels never have space if you wait till the Monday before to book.

I don't disagree, but I think you need to keep in mind this houses three riding areas that are the most popular in Blue. I actually like only having two hotels, it keeps the numbers down and forces people to drive from Valemount

Loading the gpx files to a your handheld gps or google maps makes it more clear to read. But also do share the frustration on them maps. They should be more user friendly for avoidance of these areas.

Spent the afternoon doing that. Yellow is the riding areas. Red is the no ride zones and for whatever reason the trails show up red.

But some yellow areas dont show how to get into them?
I'm assuming as long as I stay out of the red zones I should be fine????

“If you have to ask what a Z J is you don’t know”

They are marked pretty well for most part, otherwise explore it’s a great thing!
