Anyone have any maps of the riding areas? I tried to open the links on this forum but they just redirect to the main page.

Hey there,

Your best option is to go to www.ridevalemount.com and go to the riding areas section. Each area will will have files available for download so you can view the area in Google Earth. You will need to Google Earth Program downloaded on your computer.

So there are no existing maps other than looking on google earth? How do you define the boundaries?

I can take a picture of the maps in the cabins if you like but what good will that really do? we are trying to provide the best possible info and in this day and age, that is digital. Many people use google earth to make their own maps of areas they have questions on as it will always have the most detail. I want to help you get what you want so please email me and I will try to get you your preferred method.

Appreciate the response and would like to clarify I am not trying to create a keyboard battle. I guess what I am really interested in is a visual of the riding areas that reflect the “labelled” hills or riding spots within an area to get a better understanding of direction of travel , boundaries etc so that a guy could really learn where you are in relation to certain common reference points. I understand how to use a gps however I am not aware of any maps that are available to download that specifically show what I am asking for. Simple example “hey where did you ride today?” Answer “ allen creek” reply “how far back did you go?” Common answer “right to the back I think it is called superbowl” .... obviously no where near “ the back” of allen as I THINK I understand it. Not looking to get my nose in everyones “secret spots” just wanting to be better informed of areas on a less finite understanding than referring to gps coordinates or guessing on google earth where superbowl is in allen. I understand and very much appreciate existing signage etc in riding areas but I think it would be helpful for trip planning etc to have a reasonable rendition of a map that somewhat outlined these things. If this is already available on a map that can be uploaded to a gps than pls share to the ones like myself that are not overly tech savy but are trying to learn or if there is a hardcopy map that exist pls share how a guy could get his hands on one. I understand that it is not as precise as gps but that is exactly what I am asking for. I guess the coles note version for a simple visual of the areas. I have seen them in the past at allen and clemina cabins and parking lot signage in miledge. Just want to know if it is possible to get my hands on an actual copy. Sorry for the novel and thanks for the replies. I will email this to you as well Curtis but I wanted to throw this on here to see what is out there. Maybe noone else thinks this has any value or maybe someone stumbles onto this and has a solution.
