Hey guys, I would like to give a big thank you to the Blue River club. This past weekend on Saturday February 17th, 2018, they had hamburgers and hot dogs for all who rode Blue River as a token of appreciation. They had a fire and held a really nice social gathering. These events demonstrate the good nature of the clubs and the hard work that goes along with it so we can enjoy these great riding areas.

Thank you Blue River!!!!!

Was in Blue on Tuesday and Wednesday. Decided to ride Holy Grail on Tuesday. The meadow below the entrance was wind blown fairly bad. Got up around the corner to the upper flat and looked at the chute to pull into the Grail. It was half slid, still looked like more that was just waiting to come down. Back tracked and looked at the side hill, and we both decided it wasn't our day to ride it on this trip. Rode out and went to redsands. Fairly tracked out but still had some fresh in the trees. Wednesday we decided to head to Salmon. Fairly tracked out. Guys that were in Foam said Foam was fairly tracked out. Groundhog East and West ARE CLOSED. I think they've been closed for about a week due to caribou sightings. Might be good once they open it back up. As for everywhere else in Blue, snow is needed.

Well 2 hours ago they were closed....

Saw a post made by blue river that stated they were closed as well. Not sure when they will open again though.
We are going through the same closure issues in Seymour Arm also. Seems the federal goverment has mandated more effort on caribou and all of a sudden we’re losing our permitted areas. Even had Pictures and gps coordinates that were exactly where we were riding the day before. The pictures showed none of our tracks and the trees were completely different than the day before as the area we were in the trees were caked completely and the snow was neck deep. Their picture of the 17 caribou was in a ton less snow and the trees looked like they had been almost melted clean. This was after we questioned the first gps coordinates as those were north east of golden. No where near us. I think there’s some fishy business going on these days.
