What's up with the backwards grooming on the groundhog/salmon trail??

We went to the parking lot only to see it jam packed early... Good for the trail club to see...

Only thing was is that the trail was Smooth to the groundhog turnoff, then after that it was whoopy, like 2 foot moguls in spots to Salmon.

It makes me wonder why I paid the fee, come on, to get those bumps, it's like 4 days plus with lots of traffic.

On the way out, I noticed the trail was groomed just past the Groundhog turnoff, we met up with the groomer, heading to the parking lot. We slowly passed him, only to find major whoops again...to the staging area...

It was confusing.. Does the groomer roll up to the riding areas and then start grooming back???

I'm thinkin they do most of there grooming goin down hill because you can't carry much snow up hill with a groomer. The trails around Blue river used to be way better when the complainers sledded Valemount and no grooming was done in Blue!

Pass the popcorn General..

First of all how’s the snow!? Heading up this weekend.

I know they are supposed to groom every 100 riders up the trail.
I pay my trail fee and wether bumpy or not I don’t complain. That money helps keep the club alive in blue river.
Such a small community trying to serve all of us sledders and I think they do a pretty good job.

I just want to say thanks to the groomer operator. We have always been to blue and never had complaints about the trail. Hell he even stayed and waited for us to come out when the horseshoe slid and burried the single track trail coming out of salmon last week. He worked at plowing away the majority of the snow he could get knowing we were still back there. Mad props from our group!

Rode groundhog east Friday. Snow was alright. Only seen one other group. Rode foam on Saturday. Visibility was piss poor but the snow was deep. Snowed the entire day. Be a treat for whoever goes in next. I think only 4 groups in total in foam.
