I'm wondering what the best mud tires would be for a commander 1000 looking at 28" and want some thing that runs smooth as it will be doing road running as well was looking at terminators or outlaw radials

You picked two of the best right there...........With the OLR mostly the better tire. Dont get swamp lites ,one of the worst road riding tires you could ever get......
For a cheaper alternative ZIlla`s or Mayhems (Mega not monster)..................

I agree sort of.....The 28s are light, ish . On the other hand the 30s i find pretty tough (30x11) and have run many sets with great luck. The 30s have a stronger larger sidewall, especiallly the 11 wides. I find the 9 inch wide zillas just dont have enough roundness of sidewall to protect the rim&bead.......IMO
I really like the nice balance of the 30`s with decent traction ,light weight, and not to aggressive where you are breaking things.....

I have 28x10x14 and 28x12x14 Terms on my Rzr. Hard to believe that looking at the lug pattern but they do ride smooth. They have enough tread in the center of the tire that they roll smooth.
The weight is not any more than an aggresive mud tire and very dependable. If you are planning on doing alot of road riding, then they might wear quicker

I just pulled off my tracks and decided to bail on my 32" roctanes, so I picked up a set of these 30-10-14 itp blackwater evolutions. I haven't rode them yet but from what I've seen and heard from guys running them is that they work very well everywhere. 8ply radial 32.3 lbs 28 3/4" tall 9 1/4" wide on 7" rim @ 10psi

Hey not sure if you still own this Ranger, but was looking to do the same tire setup. Just wondering if it has a lift or if this is stock and if stock do you have any rubbing issues? What do they measure with the tape? do they run true 28" or short.

Thanks

I have 29.5 inch Terminator's on my Maverick. I like them. The ride doesn't seem to be that rough, I don't find. They are pretty heavy if you look at the weight charts.

That picture is without a lift, it has zero miles on it there!
