Do keep in mind that the 2000lb payload will most likely be a 2WD standard cab withOUT the diesel engine (most likely the V6 gasser). In other words, a truck that NO ONE would buy. Same as all the rest. GREAT tow vehicle tho.

Pretty sure it's with the diesel...probably as you said though, with a 2by regcab...which is perfect for me!!

It would sure be nice to be able to get away from the big three, they are to busy trying to compete to give away ****ty product instead of selling quality product.

It would be nice to see a truck in between a 1/2ton and 3/4ton. Myself would never use a 3/4 to its capacity, this is why I bought a 1/2 ton. But to have a little more payload and hauling capabilities would be nice. There is a very large gap between a 1/2er and 3/4ton right now.

Even with a cummins, its still a Nissan. Expect high prices and terrible resale.....

Apparently Nissan likes there vehicles looking like beluga whales. Wouldn't ever buy one of there fugly trucks.

Only reason Nissan trucks have a low resale is because they did absolutely zero updates to their body or drivetrain in over 10 years and people got bored. Why spend 10g more for a used truck that looks the same and is the same as one 5 years older that might have the same mileage? Leaves little incentive to buy new also. Things will be different with this one. FWIW I own an '09 Titan. Solid truck. Not the most visually appealing inside or out, but solid.

I will agree though, it won't be cheap!!

Personally I'm done with diesel pickup trucks, when some of them first came out they had a combination of durability, torque and excellent fuel milage......ok the original 12valve Cummins did, Chevys 6.2 and later their 6.5 were less than adequate, the Ford 6.9 was gutless, the 7.3 Turbo quite possibly was their best engine in terms of durability, torque and good milage. That was in the days of 30-40 cent a litre diesel. Those were decent engines that provided good value for the money and great work horses in the day when pickup trucks were built from good gauge steel and plastic was left on the interior.
Fast forward today: 1.20-1.30 litre diesel, $60-80k pickups, less than satisfactory fuel mileage, (spare me the come backs about how good your truck is, your only fooling yourself) and outrageous cost of maintenance, why on gods green earth would you want to buy a diesel pickup just to run around with?? So you can make a lot of noise?(after market exhaust) blow lots of black smoke? (idea from some brain dead individual). Oh I almost forgot!! The exhaust stacks in the box!! (Results of too much THC)
But I guess the idea behind a democratic society is freedom of expression, so go ahead buy that Nissan I'm sure it will only be $5-$6k for that little Cummins diesel option and let's hear the tales of feat how it will climb Everest and go from one coast to the other on a single fillup, and pull a 35' travel trailer with a boat behind it. If nothing more it makes for interesting reading.

Exactly what Toro says, look for this to be in and around $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 or more, then throw in some dick wad sunglasses for another $50.00 and you will be cool.

Yep one of kind Tundra, maybe we'll see you at the top of a climb some time.
More like halfway up while you're sitting at the dealer getting a new pos air pump installed on your engine.

So your pretty much calling every truck manufacturer out there yuppie because they all make short boxes? Not everyone needs a truck as long as a school bus.

Obviously I offended you both, so you decided to make it personal, what was it? exhaust stacks in the box, too much THC or the clouds of "cool" black smoke coming out of the exhaust. Nothing I said was untrue or malicious.

Not offended at all.
Your just delusional if you honestly think the Tundra is the be all end all.

lol, never said that, but you tried to infer that riding a Tundra was less than satisfactory, like I said you decided to make it personal, I don't care what you ride it's your choice but don't think because I "only" ride a Tundra that you won't see me at the top. Growup stick with the topic, quit trying to put me down because of what I ride.
