Anyone got any suggestions for a year round slip tank and sled deck in the winter, 5th wheel in the summer?

You probably already thought of this but what I am going to do cause I will be going to a fifth wheel this summer from a bumper pull is have the hitch mounted where it's going to sit then get a custom low profile tank built then modify the deck to fit over with access holes for filling and fuelling. I've seen lots of low profile ones but none that would work for both applications for the amount of fuel I like to pack.

The last deck I owned, I bought from a guy who had a L-shaped slip tank. He cut the front feet down to sit on the tank (reinforced the tank) and put a flapper door on the deck to fuel up. If I was to go with a deck and slip tank, I would do the same as what that guy did.

Wolf creek metal worx in lacombe builds custom alum tanks.... I'm getting one built right now to sit in back of my box for sled fuel, built in a big U-shape, fifth wheel hitch will fit between to hook up trailer.

X2 for Wolf Creek, Wayne does top notch amazing work, if you can think it he will built it, he has built a few tanks and things for me now, pricing is usually unbeatable worth checking out.

I bought a 46g tank from the tank depot out of the states. It sits below the bed rails of my ford and it only 12" wide. Cross tracs moved the front feet of the deck I bought back 12"s and modified the ramp holder for me. I cut a hinged fill hole in the deck. I can remove/ install the deck myself in approx 10 mins when I need to pull my fifth wheel. If I had my time back, I would've bought a travel trailer with a rear garage instead of the fifth wheel. It would've been much more convenient.

I will have to check the name on my tank, but it was made by an outfit in Leduc. It fits perfect between the legs on my marathon deck, its shallow enough that its no where near the fifth wheel rails or hitch. It also sits below the top of the box so I can run a truxedo in the summer. There is a nipple on the bottom of the tank that I have plumbed into the vent on the fuel tank. The fuel is controlled by a 12v valve hooked to my AUX switches on my dash. So when I need fuel, i just flip a switch and it fills on the fly. I have a hole cut in the floor of the deck between the sled ski's. When the deck is on I build an extension for the fill which puts the it on top of the deck. The tank holds around 35 gal.

Gee and Gee racing in leduc built my alum tank, mounted it 3 inchs back from the front of the bed so theres room for the deck legs to slide in and its about a inch from my 5th wheel rails, 2011 dodge CC SB.

That tank looks good JP. I would like to mount a pump in a L shaped tank like you did. That would be perfect.

Is there a high point vent on the right hand side of the tank? Can't see anything in the pic. Mind telling us what it's worth, just the tank? Looks like they did a nice job!

Yes we just added a vent on the other side,
$1800 includes pump
Awesome quality job
