I'm looking into getting an enclosed trailer for this winter and was wondering if anybody stays overnight in their enclosed. Obviously it would have to be heated which is what I'm looking at. Most places we go around here is a 2 hour plus drive to the middle of nowhere and I'd rather wake up and go ride. Also I'm looking at Charmac but Mirage is looking good too. How is Mirage now? I've read alot of bad about them but they're trailers are set up nice.

we have stayed in ours lots, in the summer never in winter. We put the 5 of those big cots in open the vents a bit and good to go. 27 foot enclosed.

Think I would rather drive 2 hours. Leave at 6, riding by 8. Ride 9 hours, home by 7. Most times out of fuel by 6 or 7 hours ride time though. Sleeping in an enclosed in the winter would be miserable.

We've stayed in an enclosed for a few nights up at Gorman before. It was pretty fun actually. Slam drunk, sleep in and have breakfast, and you are still the first ones up the hill. It was chilly though, the beer would freeze if it was too close to the wall.

Have been doing it for years. Nothing beats coming off the mountain and mixin drinks and bbq-ing while everyone loads up and heads for the nearest hotel. Problem being you are the first one at the mountain but have woken up to be the last up the mountain, too many wobbly pops. Mine is insulated with forced air furnace, I have 2 sets of folding down bunk beds and one large fold down in the middle. Sleeps 6 pretty comfy. Its a 27ft enclosed from Nash. Have stayed in it down to 25 below with no problems, takes a little to get it warm but works great. I cant justify a 5th wheel in the summer either so I just came back from a 2 week trip down to Vancouver Island and the Okanagon with my wife and 3 kids. People look a little funny at you until you pull your Rhino and golf cart out, set up beds and away you go. I did put AC and a propane fridge in it for this trip but worked awesome. Shad

Thanks for the replies. I don't think it would be bad at all. I don't mind a little bit of cold to wake up ready to ride...and I'd rather wake up and ride the hangover off than have to drive 2 or 3 hours.

Never have done it. But doesn't sound like to bad of a idea. don't got restraunts to have a good breakfast and some hot coffee to wake you up in the morning but whatever. we like to go to a different area every day so can't justify doing that.

Buddy has a 30 ft Cargo Mate that's been partially camperized, walls insulated, forced air Furnace, some cabinets, two burner stovetop, two folding bench\beds w\ a center table. We've stayed late winter\early spring with 6 guys (4 folding cots) and it's great! He's even taken hunting up by Valleyview in late fall\early winter (-30) , you need a good sleeping bag then, but they still stayed for a week!

Buy a good generator that can run all night for the furnace and put some extra fans in to circulate the air and you're stylin'...!
