My dryer ruptured in my AC system and launched desicant into the AC system and plugged the flow of refrigerant. The local repair shop said that everything had to be replaced (compressor, condenser, evaporator, dryer, all the lines etc.). I talked to another shop that said that system can be disassembled and back flushed and replace the necessary parts (i.e dryer , orfice tube etc). They couldn't look at it for 2 weeks. Is there any other good mechanical shop that fixes equipment in lieu of remove and replace in the Calgary area. Thanks in advance for your help

Well it is fixed. After taking the truck to 3 shops and phoning an additional 3 more shops - I had to take it to "The Blue Oval" (Cam Clark Ford Dealership) to get someone to know how to fix the AC. After $800 I have functioning AC (I hope it is going to be a hot summer). I am surprised at the struggle to find someone who knew how to fix what is apparently a common Ford problem. (problem being a blown up accumulator which plugs the system with desicant).:mad: AC to me is seldom used but when it is needed - I like to have it working. I guess I am spoiled from the days with no AC - just roll down the window.
