yes i are a reel weldor .......... all I'm saying is , if your going to do a job like this , get a professional... if you want to build a cart to hook on your quad ... do it yourself .... some people sits and thinks , and some sits and think they are a welder :d

So what do you tell them when they ask what the name of the shop was? Not saying anything would happen but ina worst case scenario something happens and someone gets injured, and you cant prove anything then you would be liable and i dont know that your insurance would cover you.. But also on the same token in alberta from i understand pretty much anyone can go out and build a trailer to haul stuff on and it's all good as long as it'sregistered as a home built. I dont know if they even get inspected let alone asked about any welding tickets or such.

The potential is there I guess but I don't recall hearing any horror stories from the past couple years regarding tandem set-ups being deemed responsible for a fatality collision....

Do you think this guy has even a clue about the regulations on towing. That welding rig weighs no less than 10,000 lbs. No way there is working brakes on the rig that can be applied from the Ford that is towing this "Accident, Waiting To Happen". I followed him for a ways and that thing was tough to keep straight going down the road. He was heading west down hwy 55 between Lac La Biche and Grassland. I didn't think you can pull tandem trailers on a 2 lane hwy. SCARY.

Got it booked in at ABC muffler and hitch... going to be one of their more expensive jobs b/c the water tank is way at the back and sits of course between the frame rails and right in the way... hence custom job equals an extra 200 bucks over their standard install... can't catch a break this year but that's it... at least I know it's done right by a shop that does these every day.

why because he is do a short cut to save him money just like everyone else that is pulling something behind there fith wheel or trailer. and there isn't any down ward force pulling the truck for the weight is carried by it's own wheels unlike a trailer where there is tongue weight on the frame, that is what will bend your frame.. yup it does give a structural ticket for welding then if you go alittle further you become can get piping ticket .there is quite a few different ones you can get. but the most basic one is the structual ticket. as for exact numbers i would need to know there materail they use and well they are different you want exact number phone the manufacture they will tell you ...
