I'm in the market for a sleddeck, I'm torn between the bulldog and the marathon decks I have a short box dodge and a 151 summit there prices advertized are close but The bulldog comes with front and rear superclamps, and come with super glides an the ramps.
thanks for the input.

Visit Them, As Several Of Them Are Members On This Site, And Let Them Know You're From Snowandmud And I Bet They Give You A Smokin' Deal.... Say Hi To Them For Me. Hey Caper11, I've got a Crosstracks deck made out of Lacombe, AB for sale. I'm asking 2300.00 for it. Very little use out of it. If your interested its in the classified section under trailers.

I bought the marathon last year. I think they still ship with 2 super clamps and they have superglides on the ramp now. Good deck, looks good, built well, works good. Like the ability to side load the quads and flip the ramp. Well thought out for everything. Anyone else that makes decent aluminium deck with retractable sides is in the same price range unless you get especially lucky which is rare. I paid around $3300 or so I think, plus a bit for install (winter and didn't want to do it myself outside). I have heard lightweight performance makes a good deck too, but you have to add a few options to be the same as the marathon, in the end the price gets close. User preference.

Another nice thing about the marathon that might be important, the short box and long box deck are really the same. Means you can buy the short box deck and move the legs later if you buy a long box truck. Something else to keep in mind with a short box truck, it's hard to pull an enclosed trailer, the deck will hit the trailer on turns. Also, if you get a short box deck that's short like the short box truck, your 151" will look like it's falling off. You need an 8' deck for a 151" sled. Doesn't mean you shouldn't put a deck on a short box, just dont expect to pull an enclosed with it on. Make sure your truck is up to it as well (2500 min) much more important on the short box with more weight back.

I talked to the owner at Cross-Trax (cross-trax.com) last night. Sounds like they make a decent deck at a good price. His name is Wes. They also make an extension that can be added and removed to extend the deck length. He is out of Red Deer.

There is a member selling a used Marathon for $2000.00 in Edmonton. Check out the post I put in the classifieds this fall, before I bought my deck.
