My tranny finally started to show signs of failure after the holidays. I drove it to Victoria and into the states over Christmas, and drove on terrible roads doing 110 to 125 most of the way. I had it in 4x4 the whole time on the crappy roads and by the time I got home it was starting to slip and mishift. This truck is an 06 2500 with the Cummins and the 48re. I have done a few mods like cat delete, Afe Stage 2 intake, and a smarty. It has dynoed has high as 470 RWHP. It has about 40k on it and although I don't trash it, I do like leaving stop lights briskly. I checked into new trannys at NADP and CT performance, and even at Derrick doing a rebuild with aftermarket Torque and valve body and clutchs. Everybody was quoting 7-10 grand and a two to three week wait. I ended up going to a shop out in Winterburn called A and C transmissions. The owner really seemed to know his stuff, and they build torque converters and a bunch of billet stuff right in house. They rebuilt my tranny in 1 and half days, full billet shafts, new torque, all the clutches, new mag hytech pan, and installed guages for $6074+tax. 1 year 20k warranty and he says that tranny will stand up to almost anything. I told him I was adding a few more toys to try and get into the 600+hp range and he said it would be no problem. They had some pretty nice CNC machines, and they've been building tranny's for 30 years for race cars and performance vehicles. The owner says they build a lot of stuff for Bully Dog, used to build for NADP, and he says the CT performance truck has one of his tranny's in it(dynoed over 1100hp recently). I hope everything is a good as it sounds, service was excellent, and trucks shifts firmly and crisply. Seemed like a good place to go for an upgrade and far cheaper that the performance places. :hemiCoupe:

Hi Again.... Yup, They Doo Good Work. We Have Used Several Of Their Transmissions Over The Years, But It Is A Fair Distance From Our Shop In Sherwood Park. They Have Helped Us On Several Occasions With Tranny Failures On Various Types Of Vehicles. Last Time I Was There, They Just Installed The Cnc Machines And Were Practicing Making Input Shafts.... Very Cool Machines!!!!! They Doo Stand Behind Their Products!!!

Are you sure that we told you a 2 week wait? When did you call in? We aren't 2 weeks behind on Dodge trannys and the pricing on our Heavy Hauler 450 Series is $4400 and the Race series is $5800 and the XXX Race Series is $7400 with a $1000 core charge.

A & C never built for us and I believe CT performance is running a different brand but you need to talk to CT to clarify.

I don't this guy from Adam, I'm just repeating what he said. Ct is now selling HTS tranny as far as I can remember and they were waiting for stock, and As far as cost when I added in the torque, the pan, guages and install everybody quotes were over $2000 g higher. Hey who knows I might have got the screw, and believe me I like Nadp, I buy quite a few toys there. I was calling around Jan 3 or 4 and the person I talked to at Nadp said they were a little behind on rebuilds and it would probably take a week to get it in and then 3 or 4 days to get it done. Actually I'm looking for something to make a large HP gain. I'm thinking Twin Turbos and maybe larger injectors, I wondering is there a package that someone makes that is nice and tidy and bolts right in. I want the truck to still be a daily driver and make some bigger numbers, I'd like to get 600+, I don't want to get into the laughing gas.

Summitron, we can help you out with a twin turbo set up. We are actually putting on a kick ass set up on a gentleman's 02 Dodge right now. It looks pretty sweet with the polished housings. Give us a call and talk to either Craig or Collin. They will give you all the info you need. :)
