So anyone ever make there ramps for getting on and off trucks? I have a lifted old chev that i had my machine fork lifted on but now gotta get it off:eek: I figure i can drive it off on a hill at my place but would be handy to have a ramp for a bit easier time....

i bought a atv style tri folding aluminum ramp from Raven Truck assesories on yellowhead, (great place and people), the problem is, soon as the carbides touch the aluminum, it drives the ramp up the tailgate, apparently puck board will help that, i just don't know where i could get some, and my brother took the ramp from my garage thinking that it would work for him because his ford sits lower then my chev, and he hasn't returned it!!!
If anyone knows of a better way i am in!! or a good deal on a trailer!!!

Norwesco for puck board
But Randall's company Superclamp makes gliders which are much better
Dont step on puckboard it's deadly, and crappy with qauds too.
SuperClamp stuff is really grippy.

heres the deal on the pipe....pvc is and does get brittle with time. use the black 40 or 80 pipe from anywhere like home depo.each rung is about 8 to 10 inches so cut your pieces to fit rungs. with a saw cut the length of the pipe and slip it over rungs.....presto...sled will slip over that like a greased up hooker on a plastic bed sheet.:D

I agree. I put some superglides on the top of my marathon deck. The wood was just getting chewed up by carbides. I have not replaced the puckboard on the ramp yet, as the banker (wife) only gave the OK for the deck itself. Next season I will put it on the ramps. The superglides work well with the skis and there is no chance of slipping and falling off the deck while you are up there. For the price, well worth it.

I know this is an old post but I just delt with this myself. I just bought my machine and am not sure which way I'm gonna go (deck/trailer) so for now I bought a 5'6" trifold from PA for $130 bucks and installed the superglides from marathon for $100.Seems to work ok for now and when I do figure out which direction I'm gonna go I'll remove the glides from the ramps and install them on the ramp for the trailer/deck. I think if you ordered them through the internet you could save some money but.... On another note I just picked up some catch all floormats for my 07 chev that I ordered in Aug Ask me I I'll be dealing with Custom Truck Parts in Edmonton again.
