Been a long time since I’ve bought a new vehicle, and seems that the dealers don’t bend nearly as much as they used to. Just curious what everyone is paying vs. Sticker price these days.

Having a tough time getting over the fact that the vehicle I’m considering is nearly as much as my first house.

What are you looking at, imports close to sticker but the others should be a big discount.

New Duramax crew cab - they are down roughly 10% from sticker. Just about fully loaded, but not a Denali / High Country

if they have stock on what you want, and you can wait, hold our for manufacturer (GM) incentives. That brought my ‘15 GMC 3500 down from 87K msrp to 71K plus tax

Bought a F350 Platinum last fall and was 15% discount, could of did a little better on that

Best I have seen was 20% off on my 2010 Super Duty. About 15% off my 2016 Superduty.

Your looking for a Duramax, I hear the dealerships are short on the 2500's and 3500's and its slim pickings, this is due to production issues related to Covid. I would think that deals on select units wont be as good as they usually are. My stepfather is looking for a new 3/4 ton, just gas, and there is not much available, he will order and wait. This will most likely affect the discounts and the ability for manufactures to offer incentives.

Exactly what I was told as well . Look at the dealers and lots are slim .
I am not looking but know the dealers around home .

Yeah - there isn't much out there for what I'm after. The sales person I am dealing with said they are still building 2020's to finish up the orders from dealerships that were all slowed down. 2021's will be late arriving at the dealerships.

Seems that the incentives right now are poor compared to previous years - guess it's the normal supply and demand story.

Was planning to drive my 2009 eternally, but things changed quickly in the last couple weeks.

In the fall during clearout of current year to bring in the new ones, with manufacturer incentives, at least 18% off msrp is a very good deal. Seen some dealer clearance specials over 20+% off. Best was some of the current dodge warlocks at 28% off....

20k off on super duty in the fall.
Go dealer to dealer till you find the deal your happy with.

Talked to a buddy of mine recently, he's looking to spec out a new company truck. He wants what he currently has (F350, diesel lariat, fairly optioned out), his dealer told him that good luck finding that right now. Same thing, production issues and limited stock as it is.

I picked up my 2019 F350 crew cab long box (powerstroke lariat, most options) for 80k before trade in 1.5 years ago. It stickered for 90k. At the time because I wanted a long box spec'd out with certain options, my choices were slim. Roughly 10 trucks in Canada that fit the bill lol.

Geez I donno, I could probably make 20 phone calls for $20k.

You must be loaded if $20k isn't worth your while.

yeah, but then you'd have to drive a dodge. haha

2 years ago we didn’t have this Covid crap which shut down factory’s and production which leaves a huge hole in the market for trucks. Look around in dealer parking lots lately, slim pickin. Unless you want a lime green dodge truck, or a baby blue ford. Dealers know the market is limited and they won’t just discount the crap out of something as there will be another person right around the corner
