Took a fair size rock in my 2018 Silverado windshield and when I when out for replacement pricing I was told I had to calibrate the new windshield as I have park assist and lane departure. What gives, is this another money grab or is it necessary legit item. Just asking for some member's feedback or if you work in the auto glass business.

It’s legit. All adas systems have to be recalibrated after being moved. Most of the time if you use an oem glass they don’t require adjustment and take minutes to calibrate, but sometimes they are a pain with cheap glass. Should run you about 120-150 for the calibration after the windshield.

Replaced it with OEM in Stone Plain competition glass and no issues.
