Used truck prices look to hanging in there. Id ask 60k for my 2012 Laramie with less than 60000km on it and 4 years of bumper to bumper warranty left.

Sorry to burst your bubble but unless you found someone who has no idea what it is worth you will not even get $50k. 2012's are not desirable, 2013 brought a ton of very good changes and that 1 model year difference brings a ton of value. Between the new interior and electronic upgrades, suspension, addition of DEF to increase mileage, and many more. Look at the 15 that was bought a few posts back for high 40's, and that truck is 3 years newer and a higher trim. I would guess you'd get $40-45k max.

Keep looking, I found a 2015 3500 Limited Crew cab short box, with 80,000 km, every option and paid 47,800. Deleted it and put in a EFI live 45HP tow tune. What an amazing truck. I also put in some Bilstien 4600 series shocks... what a difference. Best $580 you can spend.

That's a pretty good deal. I think if someone has cash ready to buy especially in that price range you'll be able to find a good deal with someone who needs to get rid of one.

Most owe more then the trucks are worth and a very small percentage are paid for .
The under $50 k for a good used low km truck that isn’t beat is hard to find but they are available if you have lots of time .
Look at the one above as that’s a nice clean looking truck priced correctly.

That's even better that was 2 years newer. I had the same good luck, they are really reliable trucks. Hopefully you got one of the good turbos and the actuator doesn't take a dump like so many do around that mileage.

Hate to burst your bubble, most have no idea what something is worth, or just look at the truck at face value, and make blind excuses. You won’t find a 2012 truck thats spec’ed like this truck, or a newer one for that matter. Ive looked.
To someone who knows anything about these trucks, 2012 is more desirable. I wanted nothing to do with the 2013, thats why I jumped and ordered when I found out the 2012 MY“build out” was extended after the 2013 was released. You could call mine a 2012.5.

The 2012 is Cheaper to service, no urea, less electronics to repair. The stereo in the newer ram is wicked expensive to replace and are prone to failures. Why ram put the heater controls in the stereo is baffling to me.

To each his own, I already know what I was offered for a trade.....temping but it’s paid for with factory warranty on it, and I do not need a new truck.

What's so special about yours? So many people say that, and it is something no cares about. Regardless of your opinion the 2013 is way more desirable. I'm just telling you what the market has dictated, which is not opinion it is fact that 13+ are more desirable and therefore fetch higher prices.

Whats so special about mine??? Thought you knew all about these trucks and what options were available.
Guess you were not paying attention. Whatever, I already know what I was offered for a trade in, and it was higher than what you posted.

I do know all about them, and I would like to know what makes yours so special? There was no limited availability in 2012 or any special options. Unless you think having a 4.10 ratio or something makes it special  I'm guessing the dealer who sold you it told you it was special?

I'll give you $100k for your truck, but you have to buy my new truck, price is $200k. Interested? I'm giving you $100k for yours! Unless it's a real dollar figure it means nothing.

LOL

Trading in and selling out right are to completely different items and numbers .
If you could get anything close to $50k you would be doing well no matter what it’s optioned out at .
I am not posting what it’s worth retail? Lol
That truck is only worth what you think it’s worth to you and that’s all that matters .
Very nice truck that’s well cared as all your stuff is and gets the job done .
You would need a good kick to trade it in .

Lol, so When I go online and build a new 3500. 18g worth of factory options means in terms of resale price if a truck is used??? Right.

105g sticker price on a 2020 loaded up with all options. Humm.... and guys whine about a higher price on a well looked after, older fully loaded 3500 truck with 5years extra factory warranty.

Maybe I should of took that trade in offer now, but a 105g sticker, the 2012 will do just fine.

Are you drunk posting or just rambling because you're making absolutely no sense. The price of a 2020 has nothing to do with a 8 year old 2012. You said your sticker was 78k, that's not that much, my 13 SLT sticker was 71k. 2012's had nothing for options available compared to what the 13+ did and more each year. The 2019+ had again a ton more options. So to go and build a new loaded truck and say "my 8 year old truck is loaded too" isn't even comparable. A loaded 2012 is average by 2020 standards.

What I was simply asking was, what options make your truck so special that it's worth more?

That's good. Probably get on it soon because if it's a good deal probably won't be around long.
