Danny, Jim has been test driving the Fords and can let you know what he thinks. I think he would try one if he could get the price closer to the Ram

I must have had my head buried in the snow then....did not know this.

I believe its well known they developed the 10 speed tranny together. Its available in everything from the Camaro ZL1 to a ford pickup

Ram has a better stereo? I think the Bang and Olefson in the 19 Ford is one of the best factory supplied stereos I have ever heard. Especially with my own music off the phone.

Your not the only one I have read about that had an engine wiring harness issue. What exactly was the short doing to your truck?

Last for 5 me all higher end optioned,

16 Ram 3500 srw sb had to 75000km
17,18,19 F350 srw lb had each to about 40k
now 17 Ram 3500 srw sb has 130k
on order 2020 F350 srw lb

Only one with shop time was 19 ford, had a short in engine wiring harness was down for 3 weeks.

Ford pluses: more power, ride nicer, long box fuel tanks were great 178L, larger def tank nice, quiet motor nice, better on snow and ice but we’re all Long wheel base trucks, ford leds are great, new rams I suspect are better too but not the 16-17. Ford burns less DEF. better under seat storage in the back, Ram has a sub under seat takes up most rom.
Ram pluses, nicer seats, better stereo, better mileage empty and towing by about 5%.

Both will pull a house, but I do like the Fords better.

Yup it’s definitely a better stereo in Ram I had both my 19 ford and 17 ram this summer for 4 months.

If hit a set of railroad tracks or severe washboard every once while would throw big wrench go in limp mode, turn off and turn back on fine till next time.

So I have been driving a 2013 dodge 3500 srw and a 2015 dodge 3500 limited drw for the last 5 years or so but recently have decided to go to a motorhome so I no longer need the dually so i decided to test drive a some new trucks, i had no intention on even considering a ford as i never owned one or have been interested in one but I ended up stoping by the dealer and I told them that I would be trading in my 2015 ram dually for a new truck but was just looking, but he offered that I take a brand new ford 19 f350 lariat srw for a test drive so I said sure, well after driving that truck i was super impressed with it, everything from the interior to the power to the quiet engine was so awesome and one of the biggest things I noticed was it almost felt like driving a gasser because the turbo lag was just not there, been driving the rams cummins and I just have gotten so use to the turbo lag of the cummins which I hated.
So after that I had ford in the running for a new truck, so I ended up looking at new gmc 3500 but wasent impressed with the style or the pricing of there new trucks.

Then I went to the dodge dealer and test drove a brand new 19 dodge 3500 tradesmen which I know is not even close to the top trim level in ram trucks but I need the front bench seat in a truck so thats the one they had with that configuration so I test drove it, drove the same as my other trucks which can be expected.

Anyways after getting a trade in value for my truck and a price for the difference on the new ram I was little surprised at the price on the dodge 3500 tradesmen with next to know options, 69 k wow.

So i ended up drive back to ford and getting a trade in value there and a price on there new 19 ford f350 lariat which is loaded compared to the ram, $69400 for the ford so I bought my first ford.
also the trade in value was a couple grand better at ford and they did have some pretty good rebates.
I put my first now 800kms on truck and have the sled deck on and am in revelstoke and loving it so far!
