I agree, Ive been through alot of DOT checks as well.
I have, well actually peace officer. But more often just looking at them one tire looks too bulged to them and that’s it, had out of service a few times just from that without even verifying the pressure. Which is why I won’t waste time chancing it.

Don't phase me one bit, assume it's BS and one day you may end up with a ticket and a big tire shop bill. There is plenty of retarded peace officers happy to do so.
But for the record, anyone who operates a commercial vehicle has to be smart enough to know what the laws say about it......

Did my long weekend tow with the rubber at the recommended pressure. Made a point to stop an extra time to check them and my straps. I was expecting them to be a bit hotter than normal, but nothing out of the ordinary. The ride was a bit softer. I guess 15lbs of pressure takes up a few of the bumps! This wasn't a heavy load trip, only a couple days. I will be adding a few more lbs as others have suggested for the big trip up north for our week long hunt.
