Broken box corners..... How to repair?

It's a 13 Ram. And I left it up to the shop they are the experts. Not me. I'm just a parts technician.
So why didn't they bolt the plate on like a 5th wheel bracket???

The welding frames is why they are bolted on now, and or pre nuts in the frame making process in the new trucks


I also would be worried alot about the frame

So not to beat this dead horse anymore but I spoke with my manager here at work (we are a truck fabrication shop and owned by western star). He said that the shop if is certified to weld to frames they need to be approved by each manufacturer. And needs a alteration tag now that is attached to the vin of the truck. So basically when you go to register that truck or sell it and they do a car fax or search to see if it’s been in an accident that will show up. There’s a lot more he told me but to much to type.
