Ya, plugs in to the ignition using a model specific t harness, super tiny module. No new fobs or anything, you plug it into your computer program the parameters you want using their app, and plug it in. Put lots of them in. And, since they are so basic, they are cheap too. Depending on your vehicle, about 20min instal and $110 for the module.
Lethbridge, a little ways away from you lol. If you are at all handy you won’t have any trouble doing it, and I’m sure most accessory shops will instal them. Or if you are in the south send me a message!
Never heard of it being an issue...
