Looking to add air bags or timbrens to my 15 Ram 2500. Anyone have experience with the timbrens? I started using the deck more this year and sure have body roll with it. Also looking to keep it a bit more level.

I ran the Firestone ride right air bags on my 2500. nice upgrade and really helped handle the weight.

I have ran many of both set ups.

I'm a fan of Timbren, They are out of play until you load it up. easy to install, half the price of airbags and made in Canada.

Does ride very rough when they come into play? Thinking of trying a set to see.

I have the air lift bags with the internal bump stops so they could be run with no pressure if the sh!t ever hit the fan and their on board compressor with wireless control. I bought the dual circuit system and flat out love it. It works fantastic for when you unload your buddies iron at his place and still have a bit of a ride back home with one sled hanging off one side of the truck and now nothing on the other. Hands down the best air bag system I have ever played with. Sure it wasn’t cheap.... but what do you ever buy cheap that works out to be a fantastic product anyways.

What brand kit did you get? I’ve never heard of bags with internal bump stops.

One of our dodge 1/2 tons at work has the Timbrens which seemed to have made a difference, but personally I prefer airbags.

Air lift bags have the internal stop, overrated I think had them on a truck and never again.. always tapping that stop on rough roads. I have never had issues with firestone bags many a mile off road with 0 psi in the bags

“Air lift”

don’t matter to me what others say as I play with air suspensions daily and know what works. Run a bag empty that can be able to fold over itself due to lack of height restraints and watch as rubber melts rubber. %100 real world. Like I said, it costs big but you are actually putting a value into your $100 000 tow rig rather than lipstick on the f150 pig lol

Never felt the bump stop yet... maybe I just don’t know what “tapping that stop” feels like though.... lol

Im sure it vehicle dependent but I had the airlift's on my superduty then switched to firestone ride rite's worked for me. I found the firestone had a lot bigger volume for the same application so I could run lower pressure and get some ride comfort as well.. what do I know though you are the expert...

For the guys that added a on-board compressor ...single path or dual? I would say I would never need different pressures for my use, but will there still be body roll with out the bags isolated from each other on a single path compressor. Mostly with the deck and 2 sleds is where I would think it may happen.

The ram must have a sway bar in the rear? Coils in rear seams silly. How much weight can it carry? Yes fire stone air bags are the best I've run them for long time. The ones i have now are very powerful lot bigger.
