Shop to rebuild ford 6.4 in okanagan or put in reman?

Dirty Diesel Customs in west kelowna, Jordan is a good buddy of mine. They do great work. When Jordan moved to the West Kelowna he sold the other shop in Sylvan Lake. If anything he can give you some good advice on the repairs needed.

Yeah those trucks really aren't going for much, one of the company I work for's 08 6.4 F450 picker truck was sold at auction 6 months ago for 7g the picker alone should have been worth more than that. That truck previously had both turbos replaced on one occasion, the headgaskets and waterpump done on another, and the motor replaced on the third time. It was sold with just over 120,000km because the turbos went a third time. This was the third and final 6.4 in the fleet to be sold, the other 2 F350 pickups were both sold with less than 100,000km both due to turbo failures.

It's a hard pill to swallow but if it were me I'd try to get the best dollar for it and walk away, putting the money into something more reliable. I wonder if you could sell to a wrecker and make an agreement to keep the tires and rims if they are in good shape?

Yep it is a tough pill to swallow forsure. Not gonna fix it up as who knows whats next to go.Will sell for as much as I can and move on.

Looking at maybe a new gas 3/4 ton truck or might look at something used. I just haul sleds in winter on deck and have car for daily driver

make sure your insurance is up to date and leave it unlocked downtown vernon with the keys in it hope for the best
