So recently have been having issues with the batteries being dead in my pick up if the truck sits for 2 days or so.

Disconnected all accessories wiring a month ago to rule it out. Still having the issue.

Been watching that the kids don’t leave the interior lights on ect...

Any body had similar issues and solved it?

Truck is a 2015 3500 larimie diesel.

A buddy says he has had the same issues in a 1500 gasser.

TEST FOR A BATTERY DRAIN: USE AN AMMETER ON ONE OF THE BATTERY TERMINAL TO THE CABLE(DISCONNECTED) AND TAKE THE READING.... THAT'S HOW MANY AMPS ARE DRAINING THE BATTERY.... AND START PULLING FUSES, ONE AT A TIME, UNTIL THE DRAW DROPS. PROBABLY HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER VEHICLE SHUT OFF FOR ALL SYSTEMS TO DRAIN OFF PROPERLY TO SLEEP MODES.

Mine did this March of this year,.. ended up being 1 battery that had a cell going. It would charge and test fine,.. but left for longer than a couple days would kill both batteries. When I would check voltage on both batteries after charging the weaker one was about .2v less than the good one.

Haha. Suck it up J and buy some new batteries :) Had a similar issue with my 2012 and that was the fix. Costco is likely the cheapest place and most likely to give a warranty.

Is it still under warranty? I pulled this off the FCA site but I would at least look into it further.

Batteries installed on an FCA US LLC vehicle covered by the New Vehicle Basic Limited Warranty, which are found to bedefective, are warranted for the remainder of the New Vehicle Basic Limited Warranty, or within the free replacement period, whichever is more favorable to the customer.
