what do I use to seal between the unit and the roof? tape? silicone? Sikaflex? hubba bubba? thanks

One inch thick 2" wide closed cell foam weather stripping with silicone for good measure. Or go get seal kit from RV store but they will hose you.

If you’re installing a new AC unit it should come with everything you need. If not the RV parts guys will have the adhesive backed foam gasket that you need.
