Re: What are the pro's and con's of a toy hauler

Truck wise I'm running a gas 3500. Gmc. So 6lt with the 6 speed.
    I really don't a fifth wheel.
Looking like I'm best to just take two trucks the odd time we camp with the toys.

    Thanks for all your input.

This is a downside ive noticed as well. But extra tanks can be added to most trailers easy enough.

we are just in the process of changing everything over from 5th wheel/ second trailer.... countless hours of research i think we have come up with the ultimate setup or at least for us it is. just bought a 7' sled deck with 2' flip down extension and a heartland fuel 250 bumper pull toy hauler(apparently just came out at the RV show). put Rzr in the trailer to camp, then if we need to take rzr off to a stagging area or day trips we will throw it up on the truck. This lets us keep the sled deck in year round for both quading/ sledding. the TT is quite light and the wife loves the king size walk around bed in the front!

    Went to RV wars today.
Didn't like the toy hauler lay outs.

We ended up putting a deposit on a 2017 Springdale 26ft no slides bumper pull trailer.
    Can't wait to use it
Then when we do bring the gator we'll have to take 2 trucks.

Depending on how long of a toy area you need these are great with a 8x10 deck

If they would make those but with the deck at the back I would consider buying one. I had a kustom koach breeze that had the single atv deck at the rear and a small slide. I wanted something a little bigger with more storage so traded it in on my Tahoe toy hauler I have now but I'm regretting selling it. Should have kept it.

How big does the garage need to be to fit in 3 quads? Kinda in the same boat, get a bumper pull unit and keep two on the deck and one in the trailer or get a big enough 5ver to fit 3 in the back?
