Sxs on deck or riser with TT with 2500HD

I have a LMM 2500HD CC/SB w/bags and tired of tandem pulling the rzr 900s and would like to Go into BC for a weekend or 2.

Seen lots of SRW with sxs on riser/deck or 2 full size quads on a deck and a trailer in tow this last summer. You guys running around within limits or just chancing it?

I’m also considering a bumper pull toy hauler and deck w/ extension for hauling rzr To trailheads or day trips.

I can't find my weights right now but I know it's under and my truck is a 1 ton. sxs is a wildcat trail at 7 feet wheelbase. With the support bar I wouldn't put a trailer on it. Then it would be over.

We all do it out here 2 quads on deck and travel trailer be fine they only stop the f150 guys haha.

I pull two quads and TT into BC and Alberta, I try to shed weight for BC,but fully loaded in Alberta, (as much gas water beer I can carry) I scaled outside of Rocky at 17,500 lbs and I was 200 lb under each max rear tire capacity....I would hate to blow a rear tire and bring a heavy jack just incase,wish I had a dually again,2 years ago I went right past BC DOT and they just friendly waved Hi at me.

Depending on what the tongue weight of your trailer is you’re gonna be close to max on your rear axle with a 3/4 ton. Run a good weight distribution hitch to transfer some weight to the front axle, and move anything heavy in the box of the truck as far forward as you can.
Ive run 2 full size quads on a deck with a bumper pull on behind all over BC and never had a problem with the road cops. As long as you’re not all sagged out on the back end and you’re running at least a 3/4 ton they won’t hassle you. Try it with a half ton and it’ll be a different story!

The hitch extension is not allowed in BC I was told. You may want to confirm that but a RV dealer in vernon told me years ago.

Simply in bc if your not commercial you don’t need to hit the scales. If you look legal they will leave you alone,but give them a reason and they will be all over you.
I had a 15 f350 and was aloud about 2500 lbs in the box. I added a deck, the sxs and the travel trailer (1000 lbs hitch)and I’m over...went dully. They told me that all might look good but if one was ever in a crash the insurance company will look for reasons to get outa paying. Costly option for chancing axel overweight.

I seen in the glove box of my 3/4 ton that the max truck camper weight is 1500lbs.... wth. I feel like 3/4 ton duramax is almost useless!

I’ve decided we will probably get a 7foot sled deck plus a extension then a bumper pull toy hauler. Then only load rzr on the deck for day trips or hauling from camp to a different trail the od time. Seems like the most versatile and safest

Just don’t have much overhang on the deck. Easy to punch holes in your trailer!

Yeah, shouldn’t be any problem with a 7 foot deck/ sides in on a short box pulling trailer. Extension would just be used for day trips/ no trailer.

As long as the side extensions aren’t fully open then you’ll be good...

I do it all the time in BC and even went once thru an inspection on the highway no issues. Trying to upload a pic but won't let me.
