Just wondering if there is something I should look for/stay away from when looking for a trailer.

My budget is pretty low......only looking to spend about a grand so I know the selection is limited. Theres 3-4 on kijiji and I know very little about trailers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 8.5' x 10' 2 place, steel tilt deck with a 2" lumber floor and a caliber splash guard with a new axle, and springs that i would let go for $1200. Text me at 403-877-3586 for pictures and more info.

I have an Aluma A888 that has worked really well for me. Two quads with offset wheels will fit but with no room to spare. These things are pretty well built and are really light (400lb including ramps and spare tire). A new one is a bit spendy but sometimes you can find a used one kicking around for a good price. I can't lie, it would be nice to have a bigger trailer, but it was important for me to be able to fit it in my garage and still have room for another vehicle and all my tools.

Bought a cheap used Lowes trailer and already bent some of the frame with nothing near max. Don’t care that much since I knew I needed to strengthen it a bit any.
My Alberta built smaller trailer is way better build. Stay away from box store trailers.

Try to stay away from small tires if you can. If you end up going with a trailer that has 12" rubber on it, just be diligent about bearing maintenance.

yup holds 2 quads side by side facing forward or side ways with room to carry gas etc. hauled 2 king quads, quad and sled, firewood, even the ranger, although all four tires were on trailer edge front to back (not ideal) lol.

what size quads are you going to haul?

Havent bought them yet.....most likely one will be a newer 500-ish cc motor polaris sportsman and the other will likely be something around 500cc motor - maybe 10-15 yrs old.

Very true. Sometimes it costs more to get into a junk trailer first then a decent trailer later. I have bought two quality trailers for 1200 and 1400. Just have to search them out. It is a buyers market right now.

You should be ok to get 2 on side by side then, and thus you won’t need a 12ft long trailer lol.

One of the trailers I bought was a Pj trailers brand. Excellent trailer but hard to find used. Has a ramp at the back that folds down so you can drive one quad on, then the sides at the front come off as ramps the the second quad can be driven up sideways at the front of the trailer. The other I bought was a 14' car hauler type also made by PJ's. Keep checking Kijiji and post any trailers you like. A buddy just sold an awesome trailer that was a car hauler that was a tilt deck but it was up there at 4500. Smoking deal for that trailer. My neighbour was selling his aluminum triton for $1500 but I think he is keeping it now.
