3.5l ecoboost makes more power & torque than that diesel at the same rpm. Obviously burns more fuel but when you calculate it out over the year it's probably less than $1000.
But ya a smaller truck with a diesel is gonna save some fuel costs if that's what you're after.

One guy was set on buying one after tons of research. He test drove them and decided to pass as the interior is cramped and is not on the same level as the full size trucks (cheap looking at a premium price). He ended up buying a loaded F150 instead.

Neighbor gets 9l/100km on the diesel between canmore and canmore every day of the week. Can't got much more than two people and a bicycle in the back.

I ended up buy a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT, Crew Cab, True North Edition.

Wife was right....... I wouldn't have been happy in a smaller truck.

Fella at work bought one and put 13000km on it.
At dealer for over a month the last time in .
Couldn’t fix the problem as kept going into limp mod.
Long story short is they bought it back and he is driving a full size.
Truck went to action he was told.
