Hi Folks,

I have an older Wells Cargo V nose trailer that I am in the process of upgrading with a furnace. I'm stumped on getting a low cost but good looking furnace cabinet to mount it on the wall.

I've made many phone calls all over Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary looking for a furnace cabinet without success. Only Allen Dale trailer in Red Deer bring in a specialty cabinet from a local fabricator for $475!! It is a nice cabinet just more than I am wanting to spend.

What did you guys do to hang your furnace? I want the finished product to look nice without breaking the bank.

Cheers

Good Fast Cheap... Pick any 2.

That being said we went Fast and cheap. 12 bucks for 2 angle brackets and a piece of plywood and done.

Will work just fine till we get around to ducting the thing. PM me if you want a photo. Wont let me upload anything for some reason.

My old Charmac trailer had a furnace cabinet from the factory built out of Melamine - trailer wore out & I sold it. Never had any problems with the cabinet.
You could also just get a piece of aluminum formed to house the furnace unit if you want to save some $$.

Just make a platform and bend up a piece of checker plate to cover it.

I had two storage cabinets in mine so I took one and reinforced it with aluminum and installed the furnace and a power converter. Put 2 vents on one end a cold air return on the other.
