Axles !!!!!

So I'm going to lift my trailer, and I've a few questions..
How high? I was thinking 4"...
Axles are rated @ 3500lb so while I'm at er upgrade to 6000lb (big upgrade but that seems the next size up)
What are my old ones worth complete with tires/wheels (basically new, less than 1000k on em)
They are torsion axels, Trailer is 3700lb dry but I figure if I fill the water, gas station, personal stuff, and Highlifter I'm gonna be over the 7000lb rating anyways...

And the biggie, who does this good? And reasonably priced, but good work is far more important. I've been looking for a trailer like this for quite sometime as I'd suspect it'll be my last... The big reason not a stick of wood in er...
It a VRV Quicksiver 8.5 x 20....

pretty sure with torsion axles you have to drop the whole section of frame. May want to check a reputable welding shop.. Its not like tube axles that you can just add new spring perch.

My 2 place sled trailer uses the same axle as my 4 place (with 2 axles). Difference is the 4 place has a 4x6 beam frame and 2 place uses 2x4 frame so to get the required clearance on the 2 place they just use a 2x2 steel tube space between frame and axle.

Yes I've gathered so far it'll need a sub frame... Basically a box with mounts welded to my existing frame.

Hello Ron,

I do alot of axle work and 4" is pretty easy to accomplish. I would run 2 x 5200lb torsion axles with 8 Bolt - 235/85R16 tires and a 22.5 degree drop. No welding necessary.
