The new ones have a drain right on the filter at the rear. The filter is threaded on both ends. Water sensor and drain thread into the bottom of filter. 10 seconds to drain it.

Technically yes but it's not really meant to be drained on a regular basis, only drained to change filter, unlike the one under the hood which has a drain valve on it.

That's just a drain/sensor location for the Active fuel system. There should never be water in that. The canister is a contained unit which if there was water would trap it.
That's draining IF the WIF light is on, not draining for periodic maintenance. I think it's good practice to drain the one under the hood every month or so, but the other one and weekly? IMO a waste of time. And ontop of that I think taking it off that much, you're going to end up replacing the sensor on the rear filter assembly in no time.
I definitely don't do it even close to weekly, but you don't have to take it off, it has the same style plastic drain valve on it as the under hood one, and the exact same recommended drain schedule and procedure as the front one, as the new ones have a water separator in the rear as well.

I never understood the km or month drain interval.
Oil changes should be engine hour intervals.
