Looking at 5th wheel toy haulers lately, not sure if I should go to a Tridum or tandem. Just putting a razor inside so I'm not sure that I need a third axel. What else is there to look out for guys and gals? Coming from a 37 foot pull trailer so I'm thinking I can even shorten up on the length, how do you measure a 5th wheel and what length work for most of yah.
Im liking the fusion models.

Look at as many as you can. What are you towing with. There are light trailers and heavy ones. Know what you are hauling before you buy. I did my research and couldn't be happier with my set up. Look at new and used even if you budget allows for a used trailer. Mine has three axles and it helps with the weight. Little hard on the back tires when I back into the driveway but not a big deal. There are so many layouts make sure you get what you want. There are some really good deals out there right now

measure your machine length to determine what size garage you need. if you're going with the sealed garage style, you may have to go with the 12' and you'll be back to your 37' length if not longer. I went with the lightest dry weight I could find with a 12' garage and tandem axles

Mine is a 41' but total length of unit hooked to truck will be pretty close to your bumper pull

Did a lot of research before buying mine! We ended up buying a grand design momentum fifth wheel m 348 and really like it has a 12' 6" garage and hauls are pioneer 1000 fine! When we're all loaded up it is heavy and it was longest they come with just a tandem axle at 40 ft

Pros and cons...
I like my b train. 16' enclosed trailer/garage stays home when I don't need it behind me. Lighter and cheaper too. I have a full 27' fifth wheel, and a full 16' garage at 65'. 6" under the law

Legally there a far too many guys pulling 40'ers under rigged.

All depends on what or how much you use it. If you are campers but are buying one for the options of hauling a rzr also for when you quad, or if you are quadders and need get your rzr into BC. If you are campers and camp and travel with your trailer there is no sense to me dragging around a 45' trailer and 12' of extra nothing to haul around then get mad at the wife and camping neighbours watching you take 20 stabs at trying to back it into a campsite( one of my favorite things to watch while camping). But if you are out there quadding and camping every weekend (and into BC) where to have to haul inside and park out in the prairie with lots of room to park then a toyhauler would be good for you. For "me" a smaller 5th with enclosed trailer makes more sense then you have the option of not have to haul around that extra dead space. For us we travel with our trailer the quadding/camping days seem to be few and far between...and really how much time do you spend in it?

I don't see a downfall to towing the big trailer around when you don't have a sxs or quad trip. You can put your street bikes in there, pedal bikes, bbq, big ass recliners, etc etc. Lots of uses for the garage.

Main challenge with the bigger trailer is that it limits some of the places you can get into. Apart from that once the front breaks the wind, the rest just follows along. We figure that for as often as we could use a garage, it just made more sense to bring an extra vehicle pulling an aluminum trailer.

This is the exact reason we sold the toy hauler and went back to a camper, slight adjustment but we never actually spend time in the unit with the exception of sleeping and we can bring whatever toys, quads, sxs or boat we want and can get into just about anywhere

A person really needs to figure out what their needs are before spending the money. Talking about size I actually downsized going to my 41' toy hauler. My motorhome is 33' then add in a 20' vnose enclosed and it is longer then the new set up. Id def go the 5th wheel route again. Way way way better then the bumper pull
