Who makes a 51 bottom sprocket?? Are you using the stock chain?

You need to add a few links to a 154 chain to run the 51. (or buy a new longer chain)

As far as the brand of sprockets, there are a few. You can order from Ski-doo as well since it is what they are using on the new 163's, or run the 49 like the 146/154's do now with the 2.5

DJ's and a 20/49 will work very well.

!!! Just saw all the thanks are reset, geash....everyone will get a thanks from me

As far as i know with the 163's all came with 21/49 and 106 link chains. Think a person could get away with a 21/51 setup on a 106 link chain?

Just thinking as i am probably going to through on a 162x3" track on mine this year

The "new" 163's come with the 51.

As per the spec sheet, maybe some 2011's shipped with something else but the new spec sheet says otherwise, yes prior 163 sleds had the 49.
Small sprocket number of teeth 21 (146 in)19 (154 in - 163 in)Large sprocket number of teeth 49 (146 in - 154 in)
51 (163 in)

106 with a 21/51 might be a link or two short, 20/51 maybe

I'm glad to see them gearing down

Oh no, clicker 4 is in my calibration sheets.
If you run a different clicker, the only thing I ever suggest is to run higher then if you have incorrect rpms but can overcome that with flyweight.
The most safe ratio compared to your 18:45(2.5) would be the 20:51(2.55)

Chris I run a 20/49 with my 3" and DJ clutching, works well although a 20/51 might be better.

hmmmm, I currently have a 19-51 setup but plan on building my own setup, I also have a 21, 45, & 49 tooth gear in my toolbox that I will consider selling, collecting dust if anone is interested. Once I actually make real gears for belt drive I may consider selling, but it will be at least 3 months if not more, as I am very busy as is, although I am currentl running a 19-51 gearing on my sled, I currently forget what link chain, but can check if truly interested. Gearing down is always great as it gives more control in the tight stuff.
