Is it overkill to have a sway bar hitch set up for a single axle trailer used for hauling a Utv?
The Cyle thread got me thinking about legalities and such. I have a 2018 gmc 1500 and haul my Maverick on a single axle 6x12 Rainbow trailer with no trailer brakes. I have never had an issue towing but wonder if I should have sway bars?

I've got 3 trailers, an 18 foot enclosed, a 12 ft flatbed v-nose sled hauler and an 18 foot car hauler and I don't use a sway bar for any of them so I'd say no.

Virtually no potential for side wind loading as well which is often the cause of sway. I agree with the above folks. No need for sway bars
