Tried asking this in the mud pit forum with few results so I’ll try it here....gonna replace the ITP cryptids on my defender with different tires, either maxxis carnivores or ITP blackwater evos....anybody have any relevant experience with either tire?

Running carnivores on my rzr. Probably one of the best all around tires I've run. They're soft but surprisingly haven't had an issue yet

I had blackwater evos on my wildcat for two years and they were awesome and now have carnivores on my general, both are a great tire, only 200km on my carnivores so far so cant give a solid review on them but they seem very good for the few short winter rides ive done. Cant wait to try them up in cadomin this summer

I’m running carnivores on my Wolverine. So far I like them. Reason why I bought them was we ride mostly in Tumbler and I wanted an 8 ply tires for rocks. As for mud and snow, I don’t know. I put it away in the winter and if I know I’m going to be mudding (which I hate), I put on the mud lights.

Kinda matters what u want to do . A radial is going to ride so much better. They can get damaged easier though. Most people are running something that looks like a light truck tire now . I cant remember the name but the ones on the can am rc sxs work well

What don't you like about the Cryptids?
I have always heard they are a great tire.

They're excellent in mud but thats about it..... lots of low speed vibration, very poor sidehill stability on anything hard...... the lugs are big and spaced apart, so when crossing a wet log for example, the tire will spin until the lug hits the log then it will pull the machine sideways as the lug grips and pulls over the log.... no bid deal until you're on a narrow trail....also not the best climbing a hill with a mix of loose and embedded rocks....not enough rubber on the ground, tends to spin a lot....Ive only put about 100km on them so far but its enough to know I'm gonna replace them.....I'll be selling them if anyone is interested.....

I have been running my carnivores for about 3000km on my maverick and love them, haven’t had 1 flat yet and I will be buying a new set after this next season. Excellent tire and smooth at high speed or low speed.

They are ok, but nothing like a true mud tire but not super bad. Up here we ride a mix of everything, depending on where it can be a lot of rock and my lugs aren’t torn as of yet

I know this isn't one of your choices but they are holding up great through mud, rocks, logs and trail. Super atv Intimidators. These are 28-10-14s.

I have Terminators right now, I wonder if I should try those out.
Mudding is not what I love to do (too much breakage, and I am not rich), but there is always a mud hole no matter where we seem to go.

My Neighbour has the Super ATV intimidators on his defender he just sold .
Asked it he was thinking about trying the something different? Carnivore as he doesn’t like the mud .
Nope putting the same thing back on his new one .
That tells me something.
Had 2800 kms on them and looked good .
Only thing is they are a lot heavier then the Carnivore or the stock XMR tires .
