Hey guys. My sportsmans rad cap will not come off for the life of me. And i have a coolant issue. The quad gets overheated after about twenty mins of riding. Wondering if the two problems are connected?? I purchased a new thermostat we'll see if that works. But ya if anyone has had this rad cap problem and knows a good way to get em off without wrecking them thatd be great thanks!

Never had one not come off. usually the over heating is caused by mud in the rad. may be a good idea just to pull the rad right out and give her good washing and then try the cap with it out.

agreed. most likely your rad needs to be washed out. you have to push really hard to get the rad cap off.

Yup. dirty, might look OK from the front but it needs lots of water (about 10min if you don't take it out) with the garden hose to get all the crap out. As for the cap, push down as hard as you can with your thumb and use the other hand to turn (both of my Polaris's are the same).
