Just got this in my email yesterday. Petty scary stuff. Just decided to back out of my trip booked for March 1st. Please be safe everyone. Just remember the Mtns will still be there when the conditions get better, don't get yourself on the news.

I'm sure you are disappionted about canceling but that's a good attitude to have. The mountains aren't going anywhere. Better to wait for safer conditions. Good on you!!!

Thanks for sharing...This weekends conditions have the same unsettled feelings about it that the Boulder Avy weekend of 2010 had. We had to cancel this weekend do to other reasons, but in light of this weeks information...I know we would have cancelled anyways. Best to stay out of the mountains, rather than get sucked in to the moment of shredding the gnar with a possible negative outcome
