Those aren't an avy course, they are just an awareness. Take an actual ast1 course.

they are good info sessions for sure, check with your local dealer as to when they are holding their seminars.... it's just a 3 hour awareness session which in no way replaces any actual AST Course.

Nope won't hurt to take. Just lots of guys take that and think they are avy trained

Lori from Zacs Tracs has a AST1 listed for Weyburn at the end of November and Regina early December. Book the course, Leave your ego at home, ask questions, get involved in Lori's class. Lori will give you the first steps in understanding and what to and how to watch for situations to help play safe. Take the course you will not disappointed! Zacstracs.com book on their website. Take your riding buddies with you because if something goes wrong and you end up getting caught in a avalanche its your buddies that you have to rely on to get you out!
